Daniel Luff is originally from West London but since discovering the lure of the world beyond, he has since lived and worked in Greece, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and (currently) the USA. Along the way, he managed to pick up some Greek, Spanish and Portuguese (with varying levels of proficiency, but always with a bit of a London accent).

Daniel has more than 20 years of experience working as a teacher, designer, and director of English and professional skills training courses. He is passionate about creating and delivering development solutions that help people grow and achieve their goals.

From his experience in teaching and learning languages, studying linguistics, and researching how fluency is achieved, Daniel started Fluent to help English learners speak and communicate. It started as an idea and a sketch, then grew into the full on-line course it is today. It will continue to evolve.

Apart from being obsessed with working on Fluent, drawing on his white-board, and trying to work out how our brains process language, Daniel loves traveling, learning, and exploring new places and new ideas. He tries to keep this in balance with a love for football (soccer), good food, and IPA.
